Dear All,

This is a really good cause. It is in the top of ideas for which Obama will

address in the coming year. A member actually helped get the

ball rolling on this. (don't have permission to give name).

But...it needs 9 more votes according to the website. See below. The

medical whistleblower orgs are supporting this, too.

It is fascinating !

I fully agree with Sharon, as the lack of any individual responsibility and

accountability of the " Corporation " is at the core

of our country' s meltdown.

A 1886 Supreme Court clerk's headnotes misreading (Santa Clara County vs.

Southern Pacific Railroad) applied the 14th Amendment to corporations,

extending to them all the rights, but none of the responsibilities, of human

persons.

The result has been the steady erosion of our democracy since then, and the

consequent rise of the corporate state, which is primarily responsible for

the military-corporate- media-academic complex, the expansion of the often

brutal U.S. global empire (including the IMF, WTO, and World Bank) with its

protecting militarism, and the destruction of our only planet's environment, all

in the service of corporate capital's endless lust for power and profits.

Corporate personhood is at the core of all of our problems. Ending it is the

start of the way back to humane civilization.

You'll have to put your real email because you have to use

confirmation that comes in email to get in, but you can abbreviate

your name so it is unrecognizable if you like. I'm sure they just

want to make sure people don't vote more than once and probably only

can be sure people don't vote more than the number of email addresses

they have....so I guess you can actually vote as many times as you

have email addresses but idea is to give everyone one chance to vote

for ten things. I hope that helps.
