A member actually helped get the ball rolling on this. (don't have permission to give name). But...it needs 9 more votes according to the website. See below. The medical whistleblower orgs are supporting this, too. Guest guest
Christ, First you have to register and they will send you an email confirming your email address. After you get your confirmation email, log onto the site home page. Then look way over to the right side and click on " Ideas " for their list of ideas already submitted. Then you will get a list of ideas. You may vote for more than one but if you vote for ones above 'End Corporate Rule " , etc. it may pull it down. Anyway, you can click on " most popular " and it will line ideas up by amount of votes they had and go down the list and you'll see it. If you are signed in, all you have to do is 'click on' the ideas you like and your vote is registered. You can't really follow link she gave and vote unless you are registered and then sign in. This topic is not far down on list. I was disappointed to see some of the topics that are getting the most votes, like legalize marjuana, which I agree with, and forgive student loans (they are such low interest loans and kids have to get off to a good start of realizing when they borrow, they need to pay back - responsibility), and because there are such graver matters that young people are not yet aware of, and obviously more young voters which is disppointing but I will forward to my 'older friends' and hope to get some other topics voted on. For example, I really was hoping to see making election have to be funded by citizens like Barak's campaign was make the top 10. That takes all those lobbiest and corporate money out of the process. Then there is less reason for Congressmen to be doing the bidding of companies, if their campaign funds had to come from individual citizens. I thought that was a winner, and also topic Sharon gave link to. We also need REAL scientist, not scientist who just came from the oil business or pharmaceutical business that have a loyalty to corporations and don't really perform real science anymore. Consider what that would do for things like cancer research. Of course Obama got young people enthusiastic about government but ultimately young people will be less affected by the severe economic downturn. Yes, they may take longer to find a job, but they can stay with Mom and Dad a bit longer. It is older americans who have lost their life savings, middle aged Americans who have lost their homes and people who are sick who have no health insurance and could become homeless on top of that, etc. Anyway, I will forward issues and hope some people my age vote. It looks like it goes on until the 15th but you have to get ideas in so people have time enough to vote on them. Otherwise good ideas won't have the time to get enough votes to make it to top 10. www.change.org -- In , <unitedstatesvet@...> wrote: > > Sharon, your going to have to guid me like a child. Guest guest
I hope my vote is counted and my comment added. I followed instructions and registered and them made my comment. After clicking post it disappears and I did it twice, and you can't copy and paste. Also I hope everyone also posted something at the health site where Sen. Tom Daschle, is asking Americans to share their health care concerns and experiences ---
