Hi.  I'm new to the group.  I've browsed the files, links, etc. to see what I

could find, and didn't see any doctors mentioned in the PA, NJ, DE area.  I live

in Northeast Philadelphia, and would like to find someone well versed in asthma,

sick building, HVAC allergy, etc.

My office was moved from one floor to another in the same building back in June,

2008.  I've been working with my allergist and have been put on Advair (which I

did not need previous to the move as I was only on meds for my allergies).  I am

having no luck with my workplace relocating me back to my original office

location where I did not have chest/lung symptoms.  I am currently getting a 2nd

opinion from another allergist, but see that all they want to do is test and

prescribe meds.

I believe the reaction is due to something with the HVAC system,  mold, or sick

building.  I can smell an odor (others can't).  I only have the symptoms at work

which take time when I'm not at work to dissipate.  I'm afraid of lung damage or

who knows what being exposed to this is doing to me.  The building is very old

and there was a big fire in it back in 1989 and/or 2001.

My company did have Airborne Mold Testing done & " the fungal sport count

analysis indicates no significant amplification of indoor airborne fungal

concentrations as compared to the outdoor environment " .  The test did show

Aspergillus/Penicillium, but it was lower than the outdoor reading.

I really feel like quitting, but I am self supporting & in this economy finding

another job just isn't happening fast enough.

Any suggestions or direction on where to go would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Joanne
