Guest guest
Pat, I was on synthyroid for awhile and it helped me. My thyroid level came back up after awhile. Doctor said it wouldn't but it did and then it was too high so they took me off of it but at the time it helped with energy etc. Of course if you go to a naturopath or alternative doctor there are natural thyroid supplement you can take that is more like what you are missing, rather than a synthetic one. I didn't know about it at the time. Armour, is a brand on one of them. --- In , Patilla DaHun <glypella@...> wrote: > > I've had low thyroid for more than 10 years now since my mold > exposure. Guest guest
I was told by the SS Dr I seen that I would benefit from a hypothyroid med about 6months ago. I told my treating PA and he said my tests were in normal limits. Just recently tests changed and I am now in first 90 days I've had low thyroid for more than 10 years now since my mold exposure. Now my P.A. wants to put me on synthroid or he mentioned some other thyroid

Just recently tests changed and I am now in first 90 days Levothyroxine for low T3, T4 I am more than 1/2 way thru and do not see much improvement at same time I have been battling another Candidas and Parasite infection, so I do not think I would be able to see difference at this point. My energy (mental) and cognitive have improved a little. I've had low thyroid for more than 10 years now since my mold exposure.

Guest guest
Cholestyramine may bind thyroid hormones... (Its used to treat some thyroid disorders and thyroid drug overdoses) Thats something for your doctor to be aware of..

Guest guest
You can ask your regular MD to do a blood test for Cortisol - may be cheaper as part of your regular blood work. Adrenal systems are often an issue with thyroid. I don't rely just on testing by an MD though - there are other Eastern ways to assess how the systems are working. If you do have bloodwork, your dr should be testing for systemic inflammation - they can also do that through a simple bloodtest. The best medicine, and it is free, is to go anti inflammation diet route. Lose the " white stuff " (flour and sugar) - it will take at least 6 weeks, but you will feel a difference. For those of you who suffer from daily stiffness and joint pain, I have felt tremendous relief simply by going organic, getting a water filter and going gluten/dairy/white stuff free. > > > > Is this an over the counter test? > > > > Barth > > > > www.presenting.net/sbs/sbs.html > > > > SUBMIT YOUR DOCTOR: www.presenting.net/sbs/molddoctors.html >
Guest guest
If you self pay, tests ae sometimes as much as 10 times more expensive than the rates the insurance companies get. Guest guest
I am told the shortage is over Nature and West Thyroid have tooled up to meet the demand. If I were you I would not mess with T4 and T3 even Hard is trying this and not doing well. A lot of people that post on my Thyroid forum are not doing good on them. It's not all that much money a lot of people are getting Thyroid-S from over seas and this is not as good a Erfa's Thyroid.
