Guest guest
Any suggestions on narrowing down searches? Terry - I usually check " backwards " when it comes to the name of a syndrome that I do not recognize. First I check my " main " syndrome list, which is in my Medical Word Book (Sloane) under the Internal Medicine Section. If it is not there, then I go to the particular subspecialty that has been referred to - i.e., if this is regarding a renal problem, GI problem, etc. As I locate new syndromes, even if they are in one of the subspecialty sections, I then go back and write them in my list under " Internal Medicine " , since that is where I look first (saves me time next time). I also use my Dorland's under " syndrome " if still perplexed. Then, of course I go to the NMTC list!!. Hope this is helpful. Carol V.
