Guest guest
I am confused about the discussions related to cross-contamination. What is the main concern? Spores or mycotoxins? I can understand how pure essential oils may kill viable mold spores, but what about mycotoxins? Is it a useful analogy to visualize them as similar to second hand smoke residues. One can imagine bringing a book that was into a smoky apartment and subsequently finding that smoky book to be an irritant which has to be removed. My son needs to wash his clothes more often than a less sensitive person because of irritants which embed into the fabric and cause him discomfort. Are mycotoxins like formaldehyde or air freshener residues? I can imagine that china would not absorb any toxins because of the finish, but I guess that if there were chips in the china that might not be 100% true. This discussion is important to me because I have stuff in storage now, and some of it is porous like bed linens. Thanks Kate
Guest guest
I know one thing that " acids " will kill and change the molecular structure of a mold spore, so it's no longer a mold spore. It's the ONLY thing that has worked for me. I had to use it on my driveway so I know. Never to be used on anything inside the home. llaci
