Hi , So what is WBD exactly? I am not familiar with those initials. How do

you eat different than Paleo? I try to drink plenty of water, I do not drink

juice unless I make it myself.

I ended up doing food intolerance testing, which was so valuable. I do not have

any immediate life-threatening allergies but the testing did show I have delayed

reactions to corn and rice (Both foods I was eating after going gluten-free BUT

NOT anymore).

I do not eat any grains or starch (sweet potatoes, potatoes, peas, refined foods

etc), I am mostly dairy-free (eat plain Greek yogurt occasionally with the

little fruit I consume a couple times weekly such as blueberries, strawberries

and other in season fruits).

I mostly eat raw nuts, eggs, fresh vegetables, fish, poultry, and other meats. I

eat herbs and spices freely (that is the ones I did not have positive allergens

to) and healthy oils, such as olive, coconut and walnut, liberally. I also had

allergens test positive to all beans except green string beans, shell fish (have

cleaned-out all shell-fish based supplements). And the list goes on but I think

you get an overall picture.

And I do NOT eat any sugar whatsoever. My daughter wanted to taste her favorite

Greek yogurt and it had honey in it and I felt like I was eating gobs of sugar

-- way too sweet for me. I could not wait to get that taste out of my mouth. I

like tasting the sweetness of a carrot that is plenty sweet for me. I am still

trying to remove all the toxins from my body.

For my Adrenals I drink sea salt a couple times a day and to keep my sodium

level up where is needs to be.

To wellness,

~Bj

of wheat for a while, that it will start happening for me.I ate mainly carbs for

so many years that I may have messed myself up. I'm waiting for my doctor to

get back from vacation to discuss my labwork. Hopefully, he will have an answer

for me. I'm going to talk to him about trying some Armour from Northwest

Pharmacy in Canada. As I posted the second time, I had used them before but only

once. They are a trusted Pharmacy and I'm thinking that their formula may be a

little different. I'm not giving up, though, because I feel so much better.

not the weight... this is especially frustrating when you follow their FB posts

and see lots of peeps losing lots of weight.  Dr. , the book's author, has

chimed in and said to frustrated followers that if they aren't losing, they

should really look at thyroid as the culprit. He also said something once about

thinking endo's are among the most useless group of docs for thyroid patients

:D

slowly back onto " very clean " compounded thyroid meds (everything has given me

heart palps).  Here are TWO nuggets of hope, along with the feeling better off

wheat that you mentioned (less bloating in my case): 1. My antibodies have come

down 30 pts, which marks about 10 pts per month of wheat free.  And that's w/o

100% compliance.  2. Weight gain has stopped.  Oh YES, I want to lose so bad

it tastes better than wheat...but ceasing to gain is also pretty encouraging. To

go buy the same size instead of another size larger is a nice respite for now.

Every glimmer of hope counts!

Bj, Thank you so much for the time you are taking to try to help me.WBD is the Wheat Belly Diet by Dr. .It is getting all grains out of our diet. It sounds like just the way you are eating and not eating sugar. I have felt so much better since starting this way of eating. It's eating real food, not the processed junk. I don't have pain in my hand and knee anymore and have more energy so that's why it's confusing why I can't drop the weight. If you have a chance, you might drop by the WBD blog. Very interesting. I read it a lot and Dr. even gets in on the discussions and answers questions. There is a LOT on there when you scroll around. It's a lot like Paleo, but some small differences. Even if I don't lose any weight, I will be happy because this is

the way I plan to eat the rest of my life.Does the sea salt seem to help your adrenals? Here's to finding the answers we need, To: Thyroiditis Sent: Thursday, June 7, 2012 7:40 PM Subject:
