Guest guest
I'm 51 but can't imagine not loving winter. It's one of the reasons I moved back to Michigan, it's a good state for winter-lovers. I just grit my teeth and wait for summer to pass... Pete and I have already decided that once we no longer have obligations here (my mom), we'll move to the Marquette area. Pete lived there for 8 years, and I also like the area... Personally, I can't understand someone liking heat and humidity - lol! Guest guest
I grew up in southern Florida, where there are white beaches, just like granulated sugar, and coconut trees. I would love to go back if I could. I am in South Central Texas now, and we have too much winter. I'm glad some like the cold. When I was going to get married my future husband took me to Ohio by bus. About part way up I asked, " I wonder what killed all those trees? " I had studied about leaves falling in the fall, but when I saw them I thought they were dead. I didn't like it before I even got there. And I was there over 15 years. Enough people don't like winter that Florida is overrun with people now. My beautiful beaches miles long that I enjoyed are no longer free to the public. Condos and houses jammed right together. No, I don't want that. But then, no one can go back to their childhood. It's nice to dream though.
