This is the first article I found with the speciation of the fungus.  It is

geomyces.

What is known about this fungus?

I don't want to hear anymore " white nose " syndrome.  It is not precise enough.

Is this acting like a bacteria?  Or is it like actinomyces which was supposed to

be bacteria which had fungal characteristics and was difficult to classify.
