Guest guest
Hi MEJ, Thanks for some very good info. I'd just like to add my 2 cents worth on Splenda. I've been using it for several months now and I just love it. You can cook with it without getting that weird bitter taste. Also, more products are beginning to come out with it. The new Diet Rite and RC Cola has it. Only the cola flavor right now and you have to look for the ones with the new label that says " no aspartame, no sodium " . They taste more like the " real thing " ! Another thing you can get made with splenda is the DaVinci Syrups. I don't know why they call them syrups cause they are very liquid, not thick, but they are great flavorings and the sugar free ones are now made with splenda. My personal favorite is Caramel - delicious in coffee! And with the Amarretto flavor you can make a mean coctail Meenie > You might also want to look at >www.splenda.com if you have a sweet tooth. It is a sugar subsitute that >contains no aspartame or saccharin and you can use it for baking as well as >like table sugar. Zero calories. Zero effect on blood sugars. I just >ordered my first batch (you can only buy it online unless you are in Canada, >but it has been FDA approved for use in the U.S.) I will let you guys know >how I like it.
