Guest guest
To my knowledge there is no Stan Kurtz diet but the diet that he used is the Specific Carbohydrate Diet modified to IgG food allergies. Seizures can be caused by viruses so I would consider pulling viral titers and trialing antivirals. Cheryl > Hi, I am new here. I have epilepsy and diabetes Type 2. Guest guest
Hi all its been quite some time. I have tremors which are heightened during a flare as well as when I'm stressed. Steroid can also heighten the effect of tremors. The best way to calm them down are to relax and be unstressed the less movement the better Sent on the Sprint® Now Network from my BlackBerry® Tremors I have a question for all of my fellow Still's members. I did not think about my tremors being a part of my Still's, but I was diagnosed with essential tremors 2 weeks before my Still's diagnosis. Does anyone else have tremors? And if so what are you being treated with? My tremors get worse with increased pain and with an increase in temperature, really bad if my temp is 102 and above. Also I need to vent for a moment, I am about ready to scream, hit something or start throwing things. Just when you think that things have to get better, something else pops up. This all started in Jan.2006, I have had surgery 2 times on my abdomen due to Still's, resulting in my stomach being removed and part of my colon. Then 14 months of hell trying to get a diagnosis of Still's with WBC 60,000, Ferritin 6,000, ESR 80, and being severely anemic. Through all of this I continued to work 12 hour days seeing patients, many days running high fever. In Jan. 2008 I finally had to throw in the towel and quit work. When I finally got on meds that were working and things were looking better, I was diagnosed with B-cell Lymphoma that the docs believe was due to Enbrel, I started chemotherapy, along with another change in my Still's treatment. Just when I went into remission for the Lymphoma, I have had another set back with a tumor that popped up on the back of my neck, that I just had surgery on and it came back as malignant. So I have started another round of chemotherapy and restarted my Still's treatment also. AAAAARRRRGGGGHHHH!!!! You would think that with all the treaments we endure that it would just kill this ugly dragon. Anyway, thanks for letting me vent some frustration, occasionally you just go to let it all out. I have to take my own advice and remember that " Tomorrow is a new day " Everyone take care, R.

Guest guest
Mine did too but the doctors never knew where they came from and the tremors were never really controlled they just performed on their own time frame and came and went but when I was diagnosed with stills they got worse Sent on the Sprint® Now Network from my BlackBerry® Re: Tremors Hi all its been quite some time. Guest guest
, I admire your courage so much. It's said that we are only given what we can handle...I think we are all tougher than even we ever imagined we would be. Ok, with regards to tremors; I had mentioned my tremors to my GP and my rheumatologist. Both times I got the, " one eyebrow raise " and a " really? " . I thought it was just me! Like others, mine seem to come about when I am really fatigued or when my temp rises over 101 (which is very often). I'm not being treated for it because my focus has been on pain and fever reduction along with the general sense of just feeling like poop. I'm just glad you brought up the topic. It makes me feel comforted to know that others have this wonderfully annoying symptom. I'll definitely bring this up with my rheumatologist on my next visit. Take care & speedy recovery! Guest guest
, even though my Neurologist does not think the tremors have anything to do with the Stills, my Rheumy says there may be something that relates the tremors back to the Still's. She is doing some research and talking to some other Rheumy's that have experience with Still's and its oddities as she calls it. So, maybe if all of us that have tremors and Still's raise the question to their Rheumy's about a connection, maybe they might give it a more serious look. Take care, R. ________________________________ To: Stillsdisease Sent: Sunday, June 7, 2009 7:59:02 PM Subject: Re: Tremors , I admire your courage so much. Guest guest
 I get tremors a lot. Mostly a muscle or two start doing there own thing. It can hurt at time or it dose not but it is funny some times to see. I never had them before stills but have almost from one month after stills. I no longer am on predasion and have not been for years but they are still with me and at one time I was on a Parkinson illness drug trying to control them. It did slow them down but never got rid of them. To day I take nothing for them but live with them. The ones I do hate are in my feet and calf’s. In the feet my toes will go ever direction with each toe doing its own thing and forget trying to walk then or even standing. Same with the calf it will just start bouncing all over the place up and down just like I am flexing it but I am not and it happens faster then I could ever do on my own. The toes one will go up one down one out one in one up or any mix of things. After a few seconds to a minute or two it is gone as fast and sudden as it came on. Any hoot that’s my weirdness of stills tremors but it fits me weird LOL Hugs the redneck Marty G.  To learn about Stills Disease  http://www.stillsdisease.org/stills_info For conservitive minded people  http://www.americac2c.orgThe problem is not that people are taxed too little, the problem is that government spends too much. Guest guest
Hey Marty, Now that I have put the question out there about tremors, it seems quite a few of us have tremors. At first when they started mine were mainly in my hands and arms, then they moved to my legs. Had the neurologist tell me that the legs twitching is not restless leg syndrome, but the essential tremor. Sometimes my legs will wake me up at night, and just like you said they go as fast as they had appeared. Just one of those weird things. I am definitely sharing the different stories of some of us having these tremors and see if there might be another doc out there that may have some experience with Still's and Tremors.
