Guest guest
Welcome !! I too am doing the WW Online program. It's working great.... set it as your home page, and you will always be reminded. I've lost 26.5 pounds in 11 weeks. And I'm enjoying this program. I feel healthier than ever! Good luck, and enjoy! Guest guest
Hi - welcome to the group. Congrats on making a terrific decision for yourself. WW is a very " do-able " program and will work if you follow it. You will probably begin to feel so much better in a very short time. Most important of all, be sure to drink at least the recommended amount of water, if not more, eat at least your minimum number of points (you will not lose if you eat less), journal faithfully and exercise. Please don't hesitate to speak up here if you've got any questions - none are too unimportant or silly to post. We all support and learn from each other. Also, I've come across a website that has a wealth of info and an active message board that you might want to check out: www.healthdiscovery.net. Good luck, flutistjen@... wrote: > Hi all, > > My name is and I'm 28 year old. I've been overweight all my > life > except maybe when I was born. Guest guest
Hi Connie, Thanks for the welcome. I'm glad someone else is doing the online program too. I just can't seem to get myself to meetings with my schedule so the online one is perfect for me. I have tried to do the At home one but at least they wouldn't send it here WTG on the weight loss, keep up the good work. in VT In a message dated 10/7/2001 7:17:38 PM Eastern Daylight Time, WildAngel@... writes: << Welcome !! Guest guest
Hey , I'm a " night nurse " also, only part time now, though. I'm the only RN at night in a small hospital where we cover both the floor and ER, so I definitely get quite a bit of walking in. Some nights, too much. (grin) Since my " working " points straddle the fence, so to speak, I usually put them towards that day if I've not gone over or if so, I put them towards the next day's count. flutistjen@... wrote: > Hi > > I don't have to worry about moving around LOL I'm a nurse and walk > up to > 3-4 miles a night, then come home and do my Walk Away The Pounds > tape. What an interesting way to attend meetings... I bet your first dutch word from the meetings is " points " lol. I was thinking about the language issue at the Olympic opening ceremonies last night - all the athletes who didn't have a clue what the speechifying was... Good fortune on your journey here and there! deborah

Guest guest
Hi Rena, I'm in the New York area as well. We have Mom (74 years old, has had this since about 66 or 67) at home - where she is comfortable and around everything familiar to her. My aunt is the primary caregiver, and my brothers and I help out as best we can. I go every weekend, and one brother goes alternate weekends. Another brother is too far out of town to come regularly, but he does come in for several days at a time a few times a year. What nh's have you been to? Guest guest
Rena: Belated welcome, and hopefully you can find some information that will be of help to you as well as ease your fears about your mother. If you don't have time to write, everyone will understand, but reading the posts may give you some benefit anyway. Again, welcome. June C. (Husband Darrell dx'd AD 1999, possible LBD 2006, died Nov. 2006, autopsy revealed AD and LBD.) Subject: Re: Introduction To: LBDcaregivers Date: Friday, October 3, 2008, 6:56 AM Thank you for reading. I am glad to see that I am not alone. I feel very lonely and scared. I fear that my mother will get hurt in the nh, not intentionally. I want to thank all of you who have welcomed me to the group. I sometimes wish I could give you all some info, but as I am new to this I am afraid I will stay mute. I will try and log on to the chat room when I can. But the hours that I work and the hours I try to stay with moms all I want to do when I get home is eat and sleep. Well anyway thanks again for the welcome. Guest guest
Rena feeling lonely and scared isn't all that uncommon. But you are in a great place here, and just by reading and asking questions you will be learning and that will help you feel less scared and more empowered to help your mom. Everybody here has gone through, or is going through, what you are - you are definitely not alone and the more you participate in the group, less lonely you will feel . My best to you and your mom...
