I am new to the group, I have a daughter who is 5 years old never been

officially diagnosed when autism by a doctor of any kind. She attends

a special kindergarten provided by the local school district. My wife

and I have decided to take her to a DAN Doctor, we are located in Utah

and have found a DAN nearby. I am wondering what I can expect from

the Doc according to the packet I received in the mail we should

expect a 2-3 hour visit.

Thanks

I am not sure what for you to expect, as I have not been to one.

and my daughter has never had an OFFICIAL dx either. Although,

my daughter's daddy is going to be officially certified as a

DAN dr. next month when he completes his training regime. I could

perhaps, let ya know then.

Otherwise, someone else needs to answer this question

Geraldine,Welcome to the group! My dermatologist did tell me that the pill can (and frequently does) cause EN. So if that helps at all... as for the joint pain, I have heard of lots of people doing better with joint pain by taking a high quality omega 3 supplement (www.moxxor.com is a great one). From what I've been told, the only way to have EN properly diagnosed is to have a biopsy performed. From the sounds of it, I would really question being on antihistamines as EN is not a histamine reaction (I wish it were that simple). For the pain, elevate and stay off your feet as much as you can. That seems to be the only thing that helps my leg pain. I hope this helps. EN since 1997To: erythema_nodosum_Group From: ghoban71@...Date: Fri, 9 Apr 2010 18:41:55 +0000Subject: New to group

Hi everyone

I havent been diagnosed with EN by my doc but think I do have it, and so would be grateful for any advice. First started with really aching joints, knees, ancles, elbows, wrists, had started yoga so at first put it down to that but couldnt understand why the pain was so bad even after a week, after one sleepless night went to my docs. Oh had also noticed the bumps on my right leg below the knee aswell, hard sore lumps that felt like bruises. The doc gave me painkillers and antihistamines and said if no different in a week come back. Went back doc then gave me weeks worth of antibiotics (amoxycillin), still no change (having to take painkillers morning and evening). Phoned my doc again she said to carry on taking the antihistamines, which I have been for a week. Dont have the lumps coming up anymore (just bruises now) but still taking painkillers for aching knees, not so much in wrists anymore. Will it go away if i carry on taking the antihistamines? Or do I need tests? Doc hasnt suggested its this but I think it is. I am on the pill but also I think it may be caused from a fungul infection cos I also have a small ringwork patch on my left arm, I thought i had fungul infection in big toe and got it checked last year but test came back neg but the nail fell off, grew back and going funny again. Sorry to go on, just want to know if anyone else has had similar symptons to me?

Many thanks and best wishes to you all

Geraldine
