WEST JORDAN — The city will not have to demolish a fire station

shuttered last June by a mold infestation.

The black mold that closed Fire Station 54, 9351 S. 5595 West, has been

removed and the City Council will consider bids for further repairs

Dec. 16.

The renovations, which will include new drywall, tile and roofing, are

expected to be significantly cheaper than the $1.5 million cost of

building a new station.
