Guest guest
That's interesting that you lost weight, too. I'm so glad you've been able to get better! Yes, the weight loss was a huge concern to me, too, because I wasn't overweight to begin with either. My son lost weight, too [so did our dog, and I think the mold contributed to our beloved dog's death :-( this past May]. When I realized that my son and I were developing the same symptoms at the same time, I realized that the same thing was possibly making both of us sick. At some point after that, when I started putting 2 and 2 together (it's a wonder that any of us can think, with the horrible brain symptoms we get from mold), I realized the cause was probably mold. What's interesting is that just as my son and my symptoms have mirrored each other (same symptoms at the same time), the gradual lessening of symptoms has also happened at about the same time in both of us. (That's another confirmation that the same cause was making us sick.) We both regained our appetite at the same time--he had become SUCH a picky eater before--and we have, at the exact same time (within the past month or so) suddenly started putting on some weight and not looking so skinny anymore. It's scary to think of what mold does--how I guess it almost eats away at a person. I'd read that some people gain weight from mold, so I didn't realize before that people could lose weight from it. I had constant nausea when we lived in that place, and I had little appetite. I didn't ever really get hungry. I had to force myself to eat. I'm just THANKFUL every day that we are getting better after this nightmare, and that our current home is a great, healthy environment for us. I wish we never had to go through this, and I'm hopeful that we won't have permanent damage. I also want to tell discouraged people out there that you can get better, and that there is hope for healing. It can take time and patience, but it is possible to get better. The body is amazing in its design and ability to heal. Keep a positive attitude, and stay hopeful. :-) Re: Getting re-exposed to mold? Lost over ten pounds (alot for me because I am not overweight) and I looked absolutely emaciated for the longest time. Being sick, any kind of sick, will do that to you.
