Do " we " know of any resources in the Washington, DC area for AS partners?

Please note: I am not asking about resources for AS folks; I am asking about

resources for AS *partners*. Am aware of the Asperger Adults of Greater

Washington already (and they had no specific ideas for partners, btw). I am

looking for either support groups, or specific marriage counselors/therapists

who specialize in AS or the autism spectrum. Or other resources for AS partners

in the Washington, DC area.

Thanks.

Hello DC NT,

I hope if any members here know of groups for partners, they will let you know.

Are you involved in any parents groups in the area. They may know of a group.

You could try contacting JSSA, and see if they know of any therapists/resources

to help:

Asperger Syndrome Parents Support group Non-sectarian group JSSA sponsors

Jewish Social Service Agency of Metropolitan Washington

land/ Washington, DC

Phone:

Their Autism specific web page:

http://www.jssa.org/services/autism-spectrum-disorders

You could contact FAAAS:

FAAAS - Families of Adults Affected by Asperger's Syndrome

Support to the family members of adult individuals with Asperger's Syndrome.

http://www.faaas.org/

They have NT-only bulletin board:

http://faaas.org/bulletin-board/

Someone on that board may know of groups/therapists/support in that area.
