From: who <jeaninem660@...> Subject: [] Re: the hla geno type/sorry,delayed thought process Date: Tuesday, December 2, 2008, 7:13 PM forgot what I last learned on the HLA involvement. th17,th1,th2 involvement in the first responce and the HLA plays a role in the secondary responcem after the foreign invaders pass the mucosa lingings and get into the tissues and blood (system). this is where HLA plays role of less than 45 persent because other cells also present foreign invaders to be distroyed. HLA does play a role in autoimmune disease. I dont think a accurate percentage could be put on this as it may depend largely on exposure dose and HLA geno types.
