Guest guest
Another question. I'm either not absorbing from the patch (vivelle .75) as well as I once did, or I need to go up on the dose. I am having a feeling of heat a great deal of the time, some of it with mini-flashes, my vision is suffering, my gums are suffering, and my low back is hurting, especially during sleep when it wakes me up several times a night, so that I am exhausted during the day. I am doing yoga again, seeing a chiro, etc., to no avail. Have an appt with an MD in a couple of weeks, to run all this by him, as I feel just awful. I had a partial hysterectomy in December, and have had bowel problems (IBS like symptoms with the D component) since, but nothing that isn't manageable. Sometimes I think I'm dying of something progressive and slow. Other times I remind myself that the last time I felt this terrible was when I was on estragel and was not absorbing and my estrogen level was in the 20's. I am also depressed. These seem like the classic low-estrogen symptoms to me, so perhaps my ovaries have shut down since the surgery. Does anyone have any words of wisdom on this? I hesitate to up the patch to .1, because the last time I did that everything improved, EXCEPT that I felt as if I were on some kind of stimulant all the time, and my skin and hair went from being a bit oily to outright greasy. Too much estrogen seems to do that to me. Any ideas? And thank you for this list. It really helps to read here of some symptom I have had that I thought meant something dire, and find out that others are experiencing it as well. I certainly don't want any of you to suffer, it's just that it puts it in perspective for me. If this sounds chaotic, it's because that is how my brain is working these days! Guest guest
Gael, I imagine it is .75 mg/day. I'm betting you're low estrogen. Val From: rhythmicliving [mailto:rhythmicliving ] On Behalf Of gaelgreen@... Does anyone know how many mgs of estradiol are in the .75 vivelle dot? (is it 75?) I have looked for it on the web, but either my brain fog is too severe for me to decipher the numbers, or I'm not finding the right info. Thank you for any help. Guest guest
Hi Gael, Since you are having digestive issues I would address them first and see if you're vitamin levels are what they should be, especially ferritin and Vitamin D (you could include Vit A, zinc, copper, B12 and folate and Vit E) Whenever I have any gut issues the hormones don't work the way they should (I have Celiac). Just a thought. Karin > > Another question. I'm either not absorbing from the patch (vivelle .75) as > well as I once did, or I need to go up on the dose.
