CPR Carol (whom I met on this list) and I got together for lunch when she

came to Portland on business and enjoyed each others' company immensely.

Next time she comes I'll have a few bottles of Twist for her! Vicki PS: as

an interesting aside, it turns out her husband went to the rival high school

To all, Vicki has great taste in restaurants! I'm looking forward to seeing

Vicki again in Portland soon. And, I see how much guessing & recordkeeping &

dreaded MATH Vicki does to get those insulin doses right.

PS. Bob wanted to transfer to your HS.

PPS. Regarding our cybermates, I constantly think of our co-moderator, Teri's

headaches...I know you'll find the right mix to stop the torture.

Teri,

Just like we all have to find the right balance of lifestyle changes,

supplements & meds to handle our individual cases of DM, you have to deal with

those pesky migraines. I'm so glad you're getting closer. How long does it

take for your new preventative drug to reach full dose? Has the stress and/or

the meds affected your bgs?

Wow. It's terrific to find a dr/clinic that treats us as whole individuals, not

week three. The stress level has really dropped since I visited the new clinic.

The neuro and the PA were both so wonderful that I just know they're going to be

able to help me regain control. None of the meds should affect bg levels at all.

The PA and I discussed both the dm and my glaucoma very thoroughly. In addition

to an extremely thorough history, one of the first things he did was look at my

medic alert bracelet and remind me to call them and update my list of meds. My

bg levels have been just fine. My fasting level this morning was 105, right on

target.

Good point Carol, as they say, no pain, no gain, and that applies very

much to arthritis. Gotta keep moving.

I laid around for a few months after a recent injury and became arthritic

all over. It was discouraging, and interfered with my sleep. But Rob and I

started riding our ATVs again. Hours of that movement at a time, and then

the exercise it took to get us moved to another house, have reversed it.

Physical activity has certainly helped me.
