Guest guest
I've heard a test for Candida of the mouth/throat, etc., is to spit into a glass of water first thing when you get up and if it grows tenticles down into the water, it is Candida and if it just sits there, you don't. Of course you can have systemic Candida and I don't think that is test for that. It just seems to me it's hard to get treated for fungal infections. Then I thought it was probably because antifungals are so hard on your body, doctors want to avoid them, BUT then I realized that doctors frequently wrote prescriptions for antifungals for toenail fungus, etc, so I guess being concerned for your health isn't the reason that they don't. and back to fact that they probably just don't ever consider systemic fungus to be a problem unless patient is that textbook model of fungal infections, an AIDS patient or cancer patient. It must have been the answer to a test in medical school or something as all doctors say that. However, more detailed reading says that systemic fungal infections can affect anyone with a compromised immune system and LOTS of medicines that have a side affect of suppressing the immune system but doctors aren't paying any attention to that. Anyway, I hope you feel better soon and good luck w your surgery. Let us know how it goes. wrote: I took it for two weeks but I think now I have probobly gotten a heavy case of candida.
