At the age of 6, it was confirmed that my son has a true aspergillus allergy,

among other true allergies.

Then he had a bad experience with glutathione IV at the age of 10, which caused

flu-like episodes. It was difficult to know exactly what was happening because

we were intervening with oral supplements, and medication of the course of a few

months prior to the first IV. IV number one came without vitamins which the

doctor did not recommend, but I requested because he was so sensitive to

supplements of any kind at that time, including digestive enzymes which are made

from aspergillus. The other 3 times Glut IV was administered with Vit C (based

on beets) and B-vitamins. His veins swelled as the IV dripped up into his arm.

The last IV was given in October which is traditionally the worst month for

mold. His symptoms were very disturbing, and they included racing heart beats

and heart pain. There were also nightmares. A week later he seemed more

resistant to mold, so we went on a moldy walk by a river bed, and he crashed for

about a month...immune system depleted.

Aspergillus allergy is a possible explanation.

Thanks,

Kate
