They have a policy that any child with a disability, regardless of that disability, even if they are more than capable of doing the work, that child is not allowed to enroll in their Academy program. They say the child can still purchase the materials, they just will not be allowed in their academy program. They keep statistics to advertise their program with and it is a risk to have a disabled child in their program. I h ave spoken to a number of people there including e Diloni and Troy Shoemaker and they maintain that they have a policy that no child with any sort of disability, regardless of the child's academic ability to do the work, is allowed to enroll in their program. THEREFORE, if you have any respect care or concern for children at all, I would highly recommend not using their program. This includes children with speech delays (no related reading problems), Spina Bifida, etc...or in my son's case, a mild fine motor delay making it so that at 6 yrs old, I wanted him to continue print for another year rather than starting cursive. As soon as they found out he has a fine motor delay, he was ex'ed out of their program and not allowed to enroll. His standardized test scores...the overall score was 98th percentile. So he has no issue at all keeping up. But once they found out he has a small problem that would qualify for him OT, they enacted their anti-disabled child policy.
