I thought it was. :-) I tend to be more physical, than try to meditate. However, I have a friend who lives in the ethers. She would rather meditate than work in the house or her yard. A happy medium, would be to merge us. :-) The Bible says meditate twice daily. It's easier for me to meditate in the evening than in the morning. In the morning, I want to get busy.

Oh, if it's as hot everywhere else, as it is here, they can do what I do. The heat index has been almost 100, today, but it's been over 100, too many days lately. It went from winter right into summer, here. Anyway, this morning I helped load, unload and stacked a cord of wood. Came into the house and crashed for a couple of hours. Went back out and took care of my plants. Went back in and crashed again. Oh, when I crash, I get on the computer or rest and work in the house or both. :-) Went back out and helped water the vegetable garden. We had 2 heavy duty storms Sat. am, but the heat we've been having, is making the plants parched. Anyway, went back in and crashed. That's what I do. It's all I can do. I can only take 1/2 hr. of this heat.

Yes, it's learning to master the balance in life. I am more physical myself. When I do gardening work or any sort of manual work I tend to meditate while doing the chore, or work out. I also have these "epiphanies" ah things dawn on me.So you hit the triple digits, that is hot for you over there. Humid I can imagine, perhaps a lightening storm is on its way, that I remember back east when it got so hot in New York.Here we are expected to have rain tomorrow, we were at 80 today but over cast mostly. Then it says it was going to get to the high 50's on Thursday, dont know what is with this weather but it will get warm sooner or later, we usually are in the 90's by now, so I am not complaining.But the mosquitoes are here and I am not about to get bit up, so I came in. I just netted the

cherry tree, the darn blue jays were feasting on them and they dont care they are not ripe yet. My big black cat, Puma is waiting for them to land on the tree, ready to help me. The long daze of summer are upon us, night fall is about 9:00 PST maybe even a little after, now the days become shorter...funny how that is.

Ah! Yes, when I work by myself, I tend to find a peaceful meditative zone. Unless Dad is near me and calling for me frequently. I can't seem to find as good of a peaceful zone when I am working with someone, though. :-(

I know what you mean, lightening and thunder have always made me excited, happy with anticipation.In Oregon we get some heavy lightening storms in the summer, but we don't want it to strike the trees in the forests, that is dangerous causing wild fires. We have been lucky in regards to the fires though, because of all the rain the forests are not dry and parched like usual, its been so far so good.We don't get humid weather here much, unless it's hazy with rain clouds coming our way. That is one thing I don't miss about the east coast, is the humidity.

nope. our usual season is from November to March/ April which is the rainy season for us in southern Oregon, and from March/April to October there is very little rain in the our valley. We depend on the snows in the winter months in our higher elevations for the water levels to feed the rivers. Perhaps you are thinking of Portland, which I am closer to Northern California by 10 miles from the border. We have a great growing belt for wine grapes and other fruits like pears and apples, blackberries and blueberries.
