Guest guest
It's always fun to see how creative people can be with all the nature-possibilities. It's endless, it's like playing music but with colours between all the green. I am on a 1/3 acre of land in rural southern Oregon. Some of you may not know that Oregon in the USA is on the pacific Northwest, in between California and Washington State. The 1st pic is of my lettuce bed, that was planted later than usual because of all the wet and cold weather we had, plus I was sick, I usually plant at the 1st week of March, in which by this time I would have had 2 crops already of lettuce. You can see that poppy in the bed, its a volunteer, and is a beauty. The 2nd pic is of the same bed, just a close up of the lettuce mix I made. I did my own mix of assorted lettuces and spinach thrown in together. I have snap peas and cucumbers growing they will climb up the sides of the fence. The snap peas are already flowering now, making their fruit. The last pic is of squash, all sort of kinds, I have zuchinni, scalopini, yellow and green squash, to mention but a few.. and the strawberries all around the sides. Poppies are volunteers. I have another squash garden too that have the larger variety like butternut and hubbard, acorn and some more, with strawberries all around them too. But sorry no pic of that here, its just the same as the other one though. I also have string beans growing in another garden as well. I have too many strawberry plants, they are crazy plants, I have given so many away this yr so far and I could give away more still. Happy Gardening!
