Guest guest
Dear All, a patient wrongly diagnosed with asthma that developed after radiotheraphy, chemo & stem cell transplant has now been diagnosed with left ventricular impairment. The treaments were approx 10yrs ago, only by end of last year did it become very obvious that she had water on her lungs and not asthma. Resting pulse was 120, and she got leg and abdominal oedema. Some advice about herbs that can help a heart damaged from radiotherapy would be greatly appreciated. As I've never treated a heart damaged by radiation, it'd be great to know if there are any specific herbs/treatment strategies for this kind of fibrosis. She is going to pick her own hawthorn flowers when they start flowering, and start taking dandelion tea after the diuretics (furosemide) are stopped since oedema & breathlessness are gone. Thanks in advance for any advice. Sonja
