Guest guest
Hi This thread was started because it had to do with nutrition, and it got side tracked by a littl' venting, if you have an opinion you may talk about it here, we would not moderate it, as long as it respectful. And if this thread made you uncomfortable, sorry. But me and Joy are the owners of this group, guess if we over stepped your beliefs, I didn't mean to hurt your beliefs then or your feelings. But politics can be discussed as long as it has to do with food, nutrition, and the related topics, as we were discussing Kucinich being the congressman that started the debate on insurance companies being the brokers of the insurance industry. I don't think our discussion warranted silence.MicheleFrom: bayside1970 <bayside1970@...>Subject: [ ] Re: Fw: Kucinich Bill Will be Crucial to First Lady’s Anti-Obesity Efforts Date: Wednesday, May 12, 2010, 7:15 PM I was under the impression that most groups do not discuss politics. > > > From: > Congressman Dennis Kucinich <Kucinich.news@ mail.house. > gov> > Subject: Kucinich Bill Will be > Crucial to First Lady’s Anti-Obesity > Efforts > epifany97523@ > > Date: Tuesday, May 11, 2010, > 10:58 AM > > > > > > > > > Kucinich Bill Will be > Crucial to First Lady’s Anti-Obesity > Efforts > > > > > > Following the release > of a report from the White House Task Force on > Childhood Obesity, Congressman Dennis Kucinich > (D-OH) today urged colleagues to support HR > 4310, Kucinich’s bill that would revoke tax > write-offs for marketing unhealthy food to > children. > > “Astonishingly, taxpayer > money is being used to fuel the childhood > obesity epidemic because the costs of marketing > junk food and fast food to children are tax > deductible. > > “My bill, HR 4310, not only > attacks a root cause of childhood obesity, but > it also helps fund anti obesity > programs. > > “A child’s still developing > brain can’t tell the difference between fact and > opinion and can’t yet think critically.
