Guest guest
Good Evening everyone just wanted to mention regarding colour of sputum since developing this unpredictable disease the colour of my sputum has always ranged from bright yellow, green, & gray. I have not had clear and the quantity is lots. I have had the Dr.'s tell me that they don't care what colour it is unless it has blood in it, I believe that is the new school of thinking at least in Canada. Today, I finished the asthma breathing test...and I don't have Asthma.... Now the Respirologist is arranging to have a C-Scan done of my sinuses and a possible app't with an ear, throat, and nose specialist. She has told me that we are now running out of Tests we can do on me....She has told me that she has never seen anyone with slight bronchiectasis having the kind of symptoms I have, and not having another disease or condition attached to it...Still is puzzling for her. She said I may have to accept the sputum and coughing as a fact of life for me, I said that I can't! I talked to her about the Acapella and flutter valve and she has not heard of them as a treatment in Canada. She said if I can get them thru the States then by all means use them as they won't hurt me. She said the only other drug she could treat me with is (I've forgotten the name) but I believe it is the strongest steriod that makes your bones crumble and causes all sorts of other Health issues, I said no I don't want to take anything like that and she said she really didn't want to use it either. Thanks to everyone for supporting me thru this nightmare of a journey.. Cheers,
