Guest guest
Hello, I mentioned this during our meeting at the weekend and it was suggested that I put it on the forum to see if the same had happened anyone else. A few years ago I got a phone call from someone at 'Natural Therapy Pages' offering me a free month's trial on their website. I said yes, and within a week got a patient from it who actually turned up for a full consulation and paid!. I signed up for another year on the site, but got nothing. When they rang asking me to renew I said no, as I'd had no more enquiries, and within a couple of days, as if by magic, I got another patient who turned up for their consultation and paid. What was strange was that they were saying things like how they liked my listing on the site and how it linked to my own wesbite, almost as if it was scripted. Both times the patients disappeared soon after I'd renewed my subscription. Is this all a nothing more than a series of spooky coincidences or something else?Has anyone else had anything similar happen? I'm not with them anymore anyway.....just curious. Thanks. Guest guest
Hi Hannah, I've noticed a lot of this sort of stuff in relation to websites. For instance a service artificially increasing your web traffic etc. To make it seem like 'its' working. The question to ask with all this is do you get enough out of the one consultation to justify the expense? If you do then why not? Think of it in terms of risk/benefit ratio. If both benefit what's the harm?LorraineLorraine Hodgkinson MRCHMHERBS AND HELPERS6, Butts Fold, Cockermouth,Cumbria, CA13 9HY. Guest guest
Very true - it just seems a lot of trouble for them to go to if they're actually sending patients!. Good in a way I suppose, but how do they do it?! Guest guest
Well not to be cynical but how about if you run a service and would like to use another one that could benefit you. Is it not simple to use a service that uses you and in the process generate goodwill for yourself. I'm speculating of course!
