I was using about 6 mg of estrogel a day and at peak time 3 hours after

second dose of day my blood result was 103. This was really low

considering how much estrogel I was using.

I switched to 4 estradots or total 4 mg of estradiol and my blood work

came back at 114, so I feel my body did not absorb estrogel as

efficiently as the estradot, so now I will try to use less estradots.

My SHBG has gone up from 70 to 114 so I need to lower dose some. I

feel better though and don't have those weird cold and warm flashes on

my back. I really think my body absorbed the estrogel too fast and

then deleted it somehow. The estradot gives me steadier dose.

I had exactly the same problem. Dr. G said I was dumping the estragel in some way. It made me very nervous, almost in a panic, for the first hour after I took it. My measured estradiol level on the estragel was 27! It is higher on the Vivelle patch, not a great deal higher, but enough to show that I am now absorbing it. HOWEVER, even a .25 difference in dose up makes my hair and skin VERY oily. Anyone else have this problem?
