She might have to ditch her vegan diet and go for at least wild fish and possibly venison too, in order to support a pregnancy. Also, magnesium, chromium, zinc, vitamins B, C, D, E, fish oil, plus various co-factors ... said co-factors can be gotten from local berries (usually loaded with various goodies) plus nettles (ditto, simply loaded). > She has had 2 courses of Clomid and is currently on a third course. Carrot seed and flowers makes for a really juicy uterine lining. If the uterine lining is the problem give carrot seeds and flowers as tincture, or organic carrot seeds by the half teaspoonful 3 x / day, every day _except_ during menses and for about 10 days around ovulation. Carrot will prohibit implantation, which is why it's been used for contraception. Robin Rose (et al) did a study on its efficacy and their conclusion was that it's 95.6 % contraceptive ... I disagree. If 10 out of 30 ladies in the study got preggers during the one-year study, the contraceptive effect is quite a bit lower than 95 %. I use it for infertility. My take on it is, the uterine lining gets _so_ juicy that hormones go to play with the head, and ladies start to think, hmmmm, a little one, wouldn't that be lovely ... I'll just " forget " the carrot seed once or twice, if an accident happens that can't be too bad can it? Luck! Guest guest
Yes - I couldn't agree more that she needs eggs, meat, fish in some form that she can cope with - sounds as though she needs some gut healing there too which they can help with. Plenty of fats and oils too. Maybe chicken broth/soup and eggs would be possible if they were seen as medicinal. Also consider Shatavari - Asparagus racemosa - a lovely tonic fertility herb, juicy and building - together with whatever other tonic herbs are appropriate for her - probably liquorice too. good luck Herbert > >> >> Hi. >> >> I have been contacted by a 37 yr old lady who's never been pregnant and >> would like to try herbal medicine to achieve this. Guest guest
If she is 5'6" and only 7 stone, her BMI is less than 16, which means that she is extremely unlikely to get pregnant with any form of treatment including IVF. She would need to get her BMI up to at least 19, which means reaching a weight of at least 120 pounds (8 and a half stone). If she can achieve that (by eating healthy food including plenty of healthy fats and some wholegrain cereals (obviously not by eating refined or sugary foods), then she probably wouldn't need any treatment at all. Of course herbal medicine an sound nutritional advice would help to optimize everything for her. Hi.I have been contacted by a 37 yr old lady who’s never been pregnant and would like to try herbal medicine to achieve this. I have the following details,Normal periods and cycle from age 10 up until she was 17 yrs old. Her periods stopped at 17 due to her losing weight, going from 8st to 6st, (she’s 5’ 6”). In the last year, she has increased in weight to 7st. However, for the last 20 yrs she has had no periods at all.She has had 2 courses of Clomid and is currently on a third course. Her consultant is suggesting that IVF should be her next option which she is reluctant to undergo. Tests show that she does not have PCOS, and has normal oestrogen and progesterone levels. She has been told that follicles need to be 1.8 mm in order for ovulation to occur and hers are growing to 2.3 mm, but her endometrium which ideally should be 1cm in depth, is only reaching 5mm. In general she’s having acupuncture for relaxation as she’s very tense, and her diet is wheat free and vegan as she has IBS.Any herbal suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Many thanksRo Westlake.
