Guest guest
Happy 2008 right back at ya Andy! My fitness goals for 2008 are: Continue to hit the gym 5 days a week (6 if I can) Change my diet so that I can lose 10 pounds this year. This means cutting off the sugar train that I've been riding all year! I plan to lose inches of fat and build muscle (to replace the departing fat). Educate myself more on diet and fitness so I can be more comfortable with it all and more effective with my efforts. That is plenty for me to do for a year and beyond! I hope you all had an enjoyable New Year's eve and I wish everyone a fabulous 2008! Dana Anne Happy 2008! Happy 2008, BFL-ers! We've had some new people join the group. Feel free to introduce yourself. What are everyone's fitness/nutrition goals for the upcoming year? Guest guest
Dana, Good job! You are on the right path. Glad I get to share in the journey, hard work and sweat. I've got my own goals for sure! 1. Lose 10 pounds of fat 2. Return to a healthy BF% (24-25% is healthy for me) 3. Work out 6 days a week, 6 days of cardio & 3 days of weight training 4. Lose about 9 inches (2 " from B, 5 " from W, and 2 " from H) 5. Fit comfortably back into my size 8 clothes. May we both reach our goals...and then some! Sister Kelley -- Re: Happy 2008! Guest guest
Ahhhhh, 2008. The year it finally all comes together. New routines begin tomorrow for muscle (and my own) confusion! Eat clean diet begins to work its way into place. I figure after a couple of weeks I'll have it down pat. The goal...20 pounds of fat gone by 2/28 when I turn 50. My summer, another 10-to-15. Time to get back to playing weight!!! Happy New Year to all! Andy wrote: Happy 2008, BFL-ers! We've had some new people join the group. Feel free to introduce yourself. Guest guest
Welcome! I think BFL would be great for you. What's a fast diet? Hopefully, you aren't referring to fasting since that would slow down your metabolism. Andy > > Hello! I'm in the Bay area. I really want to tone up and lose about 30 pounds. Guest guest
Brett, I heard our bodies start to break down at 40 and I will be there this year. I'm already starting the year off with some unknown pain in the rib cage area and a sore right Achilles. Some goals for this year: Lose ~6 lbs of fat? We'll see how it goes. Maybe I've gained muscle. Run fewer 5Ks (this one should be easy) Sub 3 marathon is still a road marathon goal Run more on trails and more trail races (still undecided on which ones) Continue to have fun with running Become a better swimmer If better swimmer then do a triathlon Andy
