I haven't any experience of this, but I did try google adwords in the past after a pushy sales person contacted me, and got absolutely no clients as a result of it. It's similar in that if someone googles a related topic, your add comes up at the side of the page. As a Google and facebook user I have to say that I never click on these ads. Don't waste your money! You're better off to just start your own fb page (if you haven't already) and keep it really interesting for your followers with lots of updates.

Hi Su,

I had similar pushy phone call from them last week - although I think

they were suggesting £200 to me.

Having succumbed to some pushy sales from Yell last year and got

precisely zero clients from them (I always ask and note down how people

found out about me), I am personally steering well clear of all these

pushy sales types from now on.

I think the only people who make money out of this are Netsearch and,

presumably, facebook.

This bears out my feeling. I eventually got him to say he'd ring back in an

hour so I could do some research, but he didn't. I think that speaks for

itself. But if anyone has actually had positive results from this type of

advertising, it would be interesting to know!

Thanks for all responses,

Su

£100 for 1 month? - I was quoted £99 for a year and it still didn't make economic sense for me in my location.

I'd add that pop-up ads bother me so much that I would be more

likely NOT to ever use the services/product of the company behind

the ad. As opposed to helping your business, it could make potential

patients run in the opposite direction.

Kind regards,

Kerry
