Guest guest
brought to you by Hi Joy! Here is your Daily Feng Shui Tip by Ellen Whitehurst for Thursday, July 22 Look into my eyes. Slowly I turn, step by step. Oh wait, what I meant to say is that today's 'Health and Healing With Hypnosis Day' is dedicated to relaxing your expectations and revivifying your psychic state by offering a little self talk that can conceivably make some mighty big and positive changes in your psyche and your life! Of course, if you're serious about using hypnosis to address any issues, then by all means seek out a qualified professional. But if you simply want to take advantage of today's energies, then try the following: Take a deep breath and relax your muscles as best as you can. Do this sitting up since lying down lends itself to an unexpected nap. Close your eyes and start counting backward from ten. Hypnosis experts suggest that you 'see' the numbers on an imagined blackboard and then 'see' yourself erasing each digit as you count down. Once you erase the last number, see yourself sitting or walking somewhere that makes you feel completely relaxed and comfortable. Next, scan your body for areas of stuck Chi or tension. Tell your body to relax as you see yourself lying on a beach or whatever floats your boat. Then give yourself a constructive and positive suggestion like, 'I accept myself freely and completely and will choose to eat and drink only healthy, life-giving and nutritious foods.' Use both motivation and reward. Some professionals suggest that you can use your relaxing visual to offer yourself a motivational suggestion. For instance, if you're lying on a serene and sandy beach, a fish could pop out of the water and say your suggestion to you. End with another suggestion that relates to the first one, something like, 'You will remember these suggestions whenever you sit down to a meal.' Then count to ten, open and your eyes and reorient to your surroundings. Obviously self-hypnosis is a skill that's worth learning and developing. Nevertheless, you can use these suggestions as a meditation today and start realizing the power you have at the press of a, well, suggestion! It's a snap!
