Guest guest
Dear all, I have a patient whose house has recently been tested for mould. Not only was it found in large amounts but her house also has high levels of radon. Before the testing took place, she decided to try to clean the mould herself. This seems to have resulted in inflammation and pruritis over much of her arms, neck and face, particularly her eyes which are very itchy, red and now weeping due to scratching. She has decided to have the mould cleared by professionals but in the meantime, needs help to recover from this exposure. She also appears to have multiple food sensitivities; we are working to identify the issues and deal with dysbiosis. Has anyone on this list dealt with mould toxicity? I would be very interested to hear of your experience. Kind regards, Kerry -- Kerry Hackett, MNIMH, AHG, OHA Medical Herbalist www.kerryhackett.ca
Guest guest
hello KerryI have used homeopathic desensitising remedies which I have found very successful in treating the 5-6 patients I have had with mould reactivity. Alongside anti fungal/immune tonic type herbs for whichever body systems are reacting most of course. regards Has anyone on this list dealt with mould toxicity? Guest guest
Hello , Thanks for your email. Homeopathics sound like a great idea. Which ones did you use? Were they prescribed individually or were they purchased as a pre-made combination? Guest guest
Hello KerryI get mine from http://www.allergy.org.uk/ as I am a member - I'm not sure if non-members can get them, but I think most homeopaths would be able to supply. I usually send a sample of the dust/mould scrapings from the house or single rooms as appropriate (if they are worse at night - the bedroom) and they can make a remedy; or you can just purchase one overall mixed moulds remedy. I could organise it for you if you don't have a friendly local homeopath. regardschristine Hello , Thanks for your email. Homeopathics sound like a great idea. Which ones did you use? Guest guest
Hello , Thanks so much for the link. I note they offer a course as well. Did you take it? If so, how did you find it? Thanks also for the offer of organising a remedy. As I am not in the UK, I will have to find a homeopath or homeopathic distributors in the area.
