Guest guest
Dear all, Some months ago I had a patient who had tested positive for Dientamoeba fragilis. She was treated with a combination of Inula, Juglans, Quassia, Artemesia annua, Andrographis and Piper cubeba. She recently had blood work and the results were negative; great news! However, her nine year old daughter has now tested positive for this condition. She has asked if her daughter can take the same combination. I cannot find any information that says any of these herbs are contraindicated in a child. Besides altering the dose for age and weight, would anyone know of any other data that states a child should avoid any of these herbs? Kind regards, Kerry -- Kerry Hackett, MNIMH, AHG, OHA Medical Herbalist www.kerryhackett.ca
