I know this is not a herbal initiative however, it is about enabling the human

spirit and I hope, as we are all working with people who experience challenges,

whether cancer or other serious illnesses, that this event would be of

interest... read on...

Hello All,

We are a well-connected community and I am asking you to help spread the word

about a special one day event I am helping to host and deliver: Uplifting Our

Spirits. The activities are for people whose lives are affected by cancer –

those with cancer, their carers, their families and those who work within any

profession helping them.

The format follows a two-and-a-half day retreat we delivered in October last

year which did not focus on cancer but about the power, strength and courage of

the human spirit. We found that in facing adversity, individuals have amazingly

powerful resources they can draw upon, have incredible beauty inside and have

remarkable ways to inspire and empower each other.

Arielle Essex and Jan Alcoe, two of our main speakers, have had cancer and they

share about their experiences and the methods and tools they used to deal with

their process of healing.

How you can help - the event is non-denominational, free-of-charge and happens

in North West London on 28th April (see UoS flyer in the files section of the

list or send me an email). Please spread the word and help people know.
