A three-day NIMH CPD Special Interest Seminar

Led by Chanchal Cabrera, MSc, MNIMH, AHG

The PTB is pleased to present a three-day intensive seminar of advanced training

in the clinical understanding and treatment strategies of cancer.

Program will include:

The cellular and molecular basis for cancer – how the DNA becomes damaged and

how it spreads and progresses.

Signs & symptoms of cancer

Energetic understanding of wellness and disease and constitutional evaluation of

cancer

Introducing the Triphasic System of therapeutics based on endogenous, exogenous

and cancer specific energetic considerations

Testing for cancer – what do the pathology tests and blood tests really mean

The role of diet, nutrition and supplements in preventing and treating cancer

Materia Medica review - botanical medicines that prevent and treat cancer

Integrating this into clinical practice – formula building, symptom

management, counselling

Managing cachexia and pain with natural medicines

Managing symptoms of chemotherapy and radiation with natural medicines

Case reviews and discussion

Chanchal Cabrera has been a member of the National Institute of Medical

Herbalists since 1987. Chanchal holds the faculty chair in Botanical Medicine at

the Boucher Institute of Naturopathic Medicine in New Westminster since 2004.

She regularly lectures for the PTB when in the UK and is always a popular and

immensely informative speaker. Chanchal, who lives and practises in Canada, has

over 20 years of clinical experience with a specialty in managing cancer and

chronic disease.

This seminar is open to all members. The seminar is part of the Special Interest

Seminar Series

Information on preparatory reading will be sent on receipt of a completed

booking form. You are advised to book in good time to allow for this preparatory

reading and to gain full benefit from this seminar.

Payment may be made in two equal instalments. Bookings and second instalments

received after 31st May carry an additional administration charge of £20.

The cost of the seminar covers all teaching, handouts, teas and coffees. Meals

and accommodation are not included. You can indicate that you will require

meals but the NIMH/PTB is not responsible for payment of these meals. Payment

for accommodation and meals must be made directly to Luther King House. Tick

The NIMH PTB has reserved 25 rooms at Luther King House (LKH). If you wish to

book overnight accommodation, please book directly with Luther King House, Tel :

Rooms cost: Singles £37.50 per person inc. breakfast.

Twins/Doubles £44.50 per room inc. breakfast.

A cafeteria is available on site. Lunch costs £7.20 Dinner costs £12

The Manchester “Curry Mile†is a short distance away and accessible on foot.

Other places to eat are within easy reach.
