Guest guest
Hi Sam, I have been up to 20mg of Cortef for 20 days and I am having allergic symptoms (like with my food allergies - fast heart rate, stomach spasms, anxiety, insomnia, feeling of being too warm all the time) I am afraid to just stop the Cortef suddenly. I'm going to try to cut back about half of the dose tomorrow and have made an appt with my internist for Thursday (soonest I could get appt). Do you have any thoughts? I'm thinking it must be the additives in the Cortef. Please help!! Thanks, > > Here is the website: http://www.masters-uk.com/medicines/home.php > I don't see where it says the UK FDA (is there a UK FDA?) is requiring > prescriptions. http://www.masters-uk.com/medicines/help.php? section=about > > ??? > > Sam > (thyroidless) > > ===== > > I just received my last order from Masters Marketing and there was a > > letter enclosed that says that the FDA in the UK requires that every > > order they receive be accompanied by a valid prescription. Guest guest
I'm taking 60mg Armour. Left Armour off for 3 days to see if that made a difference in the allergy symptoms. It did not. Tried to order the Florinef but it is out of stock. I suspect the aldosterone may be deficient because I think the muscle pain/cramp in my calf is related to electrolyte balance. The allergy symptoms have been worse today so I'm really stressed about what to do. I hate to bare by secrets to my internist Thursday but I may need her help to get off the Cortef. > >> > >> Here is the website: http://www.masters- uk.com/medicines/home.php > >> I don't see where it says the UK FDA (is there a UK FDA?) is > > requiring > >> prescriptions. http://www.masters-uk.com/medicines/help.php? > > section=about > >> > >> ??? > >> > >> Sam > >> (thyroidless) > >> > >> ===== > >> > I just received my last order from Masters Marketing and there > > was a > >> > letter enclosed that says that the FDA in the UK requires that > > every > >> > order they receive be accompanied by a valid prescription. Guest guest
Thank you Sam, I respect your advice. I have about 40 grams of cortisol cream (1mg per gram) which I will use a little of as needed for a few days. If only I knew a Dr to help. No such person exists in southeastern US. I have felt great on the Cortef except for the allergy symptoms but I do plan to try the Florinef when they get it in stock. I have ordered the Cytomel because my T3 is too low. Guest guest
I don't think my symptoms are hypothyroid rather allery because of my stomach involvement among others plus my severe food allergies symptom similarity. My saliva test showed free T4 of 1.2 (in range) and free T3 of 2.2 (low). The Dr's comments on saliva test were " T3 is low consistent with thyroid deficiency. T4 is within normal range, this suggests poor hepatic conversion of T4 to T3. " My logic was to continue the Armour and add a small amount of T3 (Cytomel). Guest guest
Yes, they have changed to Rx only. There are other places, tho... Guest guest
Hi Sam, In House Pharmacy has oestrogel but they are out of stock and much more expensive than MM. Do you know of a source that has good prices like MM? I have only been able to find cyclogest at MM. Do you know of another source for that? Cyclogest is in stock now at MM. The other thing that I order is Retin-A gel. Gel is hard to find at other pharmacies which always seem to sell cream. Also, MM sends a much larger tube than the other pharmacies. Thanks, Kathy > > Yes, they have changed to Rx only. Guest guest
Good Evening, I was wondering about the Estrogel sold here in pharmacies in the USA by Rx. Will Dr.'s write Rx's for it here? I have a stash of European Oestrogel but I am going to see my ObGyn in March and am wondering if I shoud get her to write an Rx for the American Estrogel? I hope she will let me use my 1.5 mg. of estradiol daily. I really need that much to feel well. Also, I' due for an pelvic ultrasound in two days and I havn't had a period yet this month. I'm due to start my Cyclogest tomorrow. I'm just concerned that my lining might be thick since I'm close to having a bleed and the Dr. may think I'm getting goo thick and be concerned. Do most of you have your ultrasounds right AFTER a period. This one I just couldn't time properly. Thanks and have a good night, > > > > Yes, they have changed to Rx only. Guest guest
Hi Val, Thanks for the reply. I changed my ultrasound appt. today for right after my period. > > You should be able to get an RX for Estrogel.
