Hi everyone, and a Happy New Year to you all.

During the course of the last few months I have been beavering away writing a

review paper on research done to date on Hawthorn (and theres tons of it!), as

part of an MSc in Analytical Chemistry with the Cork Institute of Technology.

It strikes me, with increasing irritation that, amid this plethora of scientific

data there is not one single reference to the existance of professionally

qualified herbalists and their use of the remedy. This is a fact I would like to

remedy.

Therefore, I would like to elicit some help from all you wonderful herbalists

out there. My strategy is to introduce into the current paper I am writing the

concept of the existance of professionally qualified Herbalists by quoting a

few basic facts and figures.

This would require the acqusition of a few basic facts and figures, which is

where you all come in.

Here is where I sneak in the word Questionnaire, to which many of you groan oh

not another questionnaire. But can I quickly add that this particular

questionnaire is designed to be filled in in under two minutes!

The aim is not to gain any in depth information (at this stage). merely to do a

quick and easy survey which will provide me with some data to work from.

In this instance quantity of info kind of outweighs quality, in that the data is

basic but I need as many people as possible to fill it in so I have some

significant numbers to quote.

If you would like to do your bit towards raising our profile in the scientific

community, please do either email me directly (mary@...) or you can

phone me on 01207 280666.

Many thanks in advance for your help.

Happy New Year to you all (again)
