My opinion is that if you want to know your peak E level then it is

good to test four hours after application as Val suggests. If you

want to know your trough level it would be better to test right before

your next E application. My doctor wants a level in-between peak and

trough; he wants to know my average level.

If we have doctors that try to micromanage us by the blood work

numbers, I think it is a bad idea to ever give them our peak levels

because they may then try to make us to reduce our E dose because they

will say that our level is too high. With a controlling doctor I

would always try to get a trough level.
