Guest guest
I've always used coconut oil and / or cocoa butter on myself and on the kids when they were young - and I've heard that sesame seed oil has good protection.chris Hello All I have had several friends enquiring about suncream. I'm not sure if any herbs have sufficient protection - though I think shea butter may provide a little. I have only made up creams which are more for moisturising and soothing, and a friend has cea and swears by dolloping on Hemp seed cream when it's sunny, but would be interested to know of any ingredients which are protective. Guest guest
I've often thought of experimenting with it but never got round to it. Guest guest
Yes, it's everywhere in my garden but I've never found it a problem and looks so pretty. In Ireland it's traditionally used to treat cattle for red water fever - probably through it's styptic action. Guest guest
I made some hair lotion up once for my children, and tried it myself. It was lovely. Felt really nice.Mine is a pretty variant from my late mother's garden, just like the standard form, but with white flowers. Sometimes the deep pink finds it's way in from the field and I get pale pink ones, lovely. Guest guest
Hello, Aloe vera gel is reputed to have an SPF of 15, although I've never tried it. Also, upping vitamin D levels will make skin more likely to tan and less likely to burn. Guest guest
No but I always warn patients about this and they are often surprised! Saying it will ruin their holiday in the sun, they seem far more concerned about all the potential drug reactions though! To the point of deciding to give it miss if possible!Poor old St s Wort before it went out there it was only seen as a good thing. That's the trouble with a 'natural' product though, ohh can't feel it working must take another few handfuls, after all it is natural!?!!!
