Why healthy ageing?Due to the significant impact the rapidly ageing population will have on public health and healthcare provision we believe that all young health professionals must be engaged with this vital issue and be equipped to actively encourage healthy ageing. When better to start than 2012 the ‘European Year of Active Ageing and Intergenerational Solidarity’? Speakers The Summer School programme boasts keynote lectures from some of the country’s leading academics on healthy ageing research (for a list of confirmed speakers see link at the bottom of this email). Who should attend? Students studying a clinical discipline a undergraduate level (or above) including; allied health profession disciplines, dentistry, medicine, midwifery, nursing and pharmacy.Date and Venue 7-8th September at the Queen Hospital, Birmingham (see flyer below for details).
