I've often thought of experimenting with it but never got round to it. It's normal habit is shady groves BUT if it gets exposed to full sunlight it produces a red pigment to protect itself from UV rays! I've often wondered if if this could be adapted to help us. It looks like its sunburnt! Yes it's one of my favs too.

I have used Herb along with Calendula in pessaries for cervical dysplasia. It is one of Hedley's combinations. It also is associated with Puck and naughtiness, which is maybe why it reminds grown ups of being children.

Deviating from the thread slightly. I made some skin cream up with a touch of tumeric in and guess what it did leave a slight yellow sheen on the skin, but I thought at the time, wow this is herbal skin bronzer!
