Guest guest
Dear Lori: Can you go in for more than one shot a month? B-12 will just go out of your system if your body doesn't use it, right? At first we started with b-12 injections at home. Can you do that? It's not very expensive. You need a prescription and you need to fill your own syringe but it's not so hard and may be cheaper and less wearing than running to a doc each month. Dear Sharon: What is Billberry Extract and what does it do for you? Laya Date: Thu, 1 Apr 2004 08:27:39 -0800 (PST) Subject: Re: sharon I'm a believer is doing the most natural possibe too. I take Vitamin B Complex, Vitamin E and Billberry Extract. And I do eat lots of veggies too. Let me know how the ginko does for you... Sharon Lori wrote: I'm a big believer in vitamins too. I don't absorb b12 so I get a monthly shot and always feel worse the last week before I get it and better the 1st 10 days after. I take a multi with Siberian ginseng and extra iron. Keeping fatigue at bay is my first defense in stopping symptoms. Everything starts coming on when I get tired. I'm going to start gingko, too. And of course I eat loads of veggies and fish for all the omegas. ________________________________________________________________ The best thing to hit the Internet in years - Juno SpeedBand! Guest guest
Sharon Last Nov when I had the piercing headache in the back of my head behind my ear.Felt like a knife stabbing me.The Er Dr said it sounds like MS because of the other symptoms. So I went to my old reg Dr and he had a neuro that came to his office once a week. So I went back to him. He said I had poss MS.But didnt write it in my chart. He gave me neuritin(sic) And baclofin. And told me to come back in a month. Well, I went back. He didnt remember telling me I had poss MS. Duhh, I stuck with him for about 6 months. Each time I went for a visit, he made me feel so stupid.Didnt order but one MRI, then didnt even get the results. My old reg Dr gave me the hosp number to call to get the results, since his neuro want in. . He told me the code number to get the hospital to read them to me over the phone, and then said to have them fax them to him. ..We were kind of good friends, because I set up a deal with him to buy out another Dr office here in town. I left him, after I called his office to find out about another MRI. His receptionist was busy and put me on hold, after I ask to speak to the neuro about my MRI results. She came back and said he wasnt in right now, and my MRI was normal. She didnt know I had a copy of it right in front of me that I had got from the hospital. that was with my first stroke, and it said to have another MRI in 3 months. I let her know she had just lied to me about my results and how dangerous that could be. I read it to her and she was floored. My next MRI 3 months said I had another stroke after that one, but my New Dr ordered that one. . So my husband spoke to his Dr he has for his neck injury and got me in to him. He wrote down in my charts that I have poss MS but treats it as MS. He is really good about it. I just re-read this mail. I bet your so confused. lol. I know I am. Love and hugsPam
Guest guest
Warning this is dictated rather than written Did they put you on any of the A. B. C. drug? If they think you have a MS they should put you on the ABC Groves as soon as possible. Tom -----Original Message----- From: impamadams@... Guest guest
Sharon, I don't count calories, per se. I strive for 1 1/2 g. protein per pound of bodyweight and 100 g. carb. I really need to get back on what my consultant had me doing last fall........3 days of that and then 1 day of 1 1/2g. carb per pound of my bodyweight and drop back to 1 g. protein, then back to the 3 day/1day split. Haven't taken the time to sit down with my pencil, paper and trusty calculator and " just do it " . :>) A rainy day today, perhaps this is the time. For workouts right now I have been following the workout routines posted monthly in the " Ironman " magazine. Some of the exercises I cannot go as heavy as I would like because of my shoulder issues, so I do what I can without injury. Over time I have been able to increase my weights, but I am not going to tell you what they are because you would call me a wuss. But, dealing with the excruciating shoulder pain I had I am considering myself so lucky I can do anything at all. Dealing with a 2 pound dumbbell on any shoulder exercise was sheer torture. I have since found a wonderful dr. who has given my health a complete turn around, but I still have to be careful. Also having some knee issues, and he is working on those for me too. Cardio consists of the elliptical. We have a pretty complete gym upstairs in our home; machine, cable outfit, calf raise and ab bench " things " ........dumbbells too, of course. Spousal Unit even decided a couple of years ago a tanning bed would be a nice addition, so we got one of those too. I think we should sell reasonably priced memberships, don't you?? Guest guest
Hi again ... I really recommend counting calories just for one day. It will be a real reality check. I had a client who was training for competition and couldnt get her bodyfat down. She told me she was only eating healthy food..such as oatmeal and eggs for breakfast and tuna and wholewheat for lunch..It turns out her portions were way out of control....so as soon as she weighed , measured and counted calories she was able to get in control and did well her first ( and only ) contest. I have had a shoulder , knee and now back injuries and I know your PAIN!! I used a massage therapist, chiropractor and lots of ice and stretching to finally get healed!! Thank goodness my shoulder and knee pain are gone..now I just have to deal with the back. I got a bit over enthusiastic this year with the movied the 300....did some jumping plyometric squats ( forgetting that I'm 60 yrs old) and suffered the pain!! LOL Take a close look at your pictures.. I see a lot of upper body muscle and just a bit of weakness in your quads and hamstrings...work on those and you'll have a great proportioned physique. Guest guest
Yeah, I know the legs are the weak link.........because I am on them all day. And when you are on them all day, it is very hard to build them up. LOL Doing what I can. Today was leg day. :>( I did it, tho. Z Re: Sharon Hi again ...
