Had a patient I am treating for RA who is taking methotrexate. She had been

trying to wean herself off but the RA kept flaring up.

She is successfully reducing the dose now with a prescription.(Curcumera,

filipendula, zingiber, glyc. glabra, apium)

She had a recent blood test from the GP that showed raised MCV - probably due to

the methotrextae and too much alcohol(Hmmm - 1 beer and 2 wine daily)

Gave Carduus 5 ml tds for 2 weeks. (She didn't reduce the booze - sigh.) The MCV

has now returned to normal.

Nice.

Just in case you are interested.
