Guest guest
Good ole Artemesia annua for me! Usually advise 6 capsules a day for a week. Especially if Giardiasis suspected can have dramatic results. Have noticed occasionally though tends to give hypoglycaemia. Also worked well for me.Before you ask I use my own KPC 5:1 concentrated extract vegetarian capsules contact off list if needed:info@...Lorraine Lorraine Hodgkinson AHG MRCHMHERBS AND HELPERS6, Butts Fold, Cockermouth,Cumbria, CA13 9HY. Guest guest
However those anti parastic herbs also work on the liver, digestion, and most other body systems, and undoubtedly give some kind of help. So if someone wants to do a parasite cleanse then it will help them on some level. I have a protocol, which I am happy to share, and use herbs including elecampane, clove, artemesia annua, neem etc best wishes I have to say Im always rather sceptical about people wanting parasite cleanses for no obvious reason! its a bit of a trend I think -often promoted by followers of hulda clark ( correct name?) who claim parasites as the cause of all ills - a bit like the bogey man that candida was a while ago. regards ,annette Parasite cleanse Dear ListI have a couple who have both come as new px. Guest guest
sure such protocols can help generally if that is what is needed - its just Im sceptical about people who want to do one for no particular reason -or as part of a weight loss programme.it just seems a bit " faddy " to my mind regards ,annette Parasite cleanse Dear ListI have a couple who have both come as new px. Guest guest
Katharine, I would echo the concerns of the other herbalists here parasite cleanses can be a bit trendy, especially amoung the Kinesiology community...dont mean to offend anyone here, this is just 'some' Kinesiologists and only in my experience... Re the comments by Lorraine, I did take those artemesia capsules 5:1 for Giardia I had last year after visiting India and they were ineffective for me. After doing alot of research on the lifecycle of it, possibly if I had taken them for a minimum of 14 days to catch the 2 phases of the lifecycle I would have had more success, but I was very sick and lost lots of weight and went for the Flagyll for 14 days option much to my own dissapointment, but it worked and I backed it up withthe usual bowel healing strategies. Sorry for the digression but it sounds to me that this couple would benefit from 'lifestyle' changes, there can be lots of reasons for excess weight, rather than doing what can sometimes be harsh 'parasite' treatments...maybe you could explain to them thet you are uncomfortable with thier approach ( note THIERS not your professional opinion, which is after all why they have come to you isn't it????) ask them if they would like to do a parasitology stool tests get it all in black and white...? hope that helps some, Ciara
Guest guest
Had about 8 out of 10 success rate with prescribing it here including myself. For those that didn't respond I assumed that perhaps giardiasis was not the issue as I try to diagnose clinically. Some cases including me gave 'dramatic' improvement in a few days. All taken as part of Sue Koten's methods on this.Lorraine Lorraine Hodgkinson AHG MRCHMHERBS AND HELPERS6, Butts Fold, Cockermouth,Cumbria, CA13 9HY. Guest guest
Many thanks for all comments. I quite agree with the reservations expressed and am itching to tackle the overweight, blood pressure, explore the ?fibroid (woman), very incapacitating knee (male patient) that they initially presented with. However, this couple will do a parasite cleanse from the Internet whatever I say, and given their diet they will certainly have dysbiosis. So I will offer a mix taking into account the Archives and recent comments. It's all part of patient management. Let's when did any of us last go to our GP without our own strong agenda?! best wishes and thanks also for any comments that may yet come Katharine > > > > Katharine, > > I would echo the concerns of the other herbalists here parasite cleanses can be a bit trendy, especially amoung the Kinesiology community...dont mean to offend anyone here, this is just 'some' Kinesiologists and only in my experience... > > Re the comments by Lorraine, I did take those artemesia capsules 5:1 for Giardia I had last year after visiting India and they were ineffective for me. Guest guest
Dear Katharine, I seem to get good results mixing equal parts of Neem, Artemisia annua and Junglas nigra - little bit of ginger is recommended. Best of luck Iria > Dear List > > I have a couple who have both come as new px. She is a reflexologist. > Their PC is need to lose weight. They also both have hypertension. Guest guest
Okay,I can only report my experience including personal after attending Due Koten's workshop and applying what I learned there.
