Guest guest
Hi all, just wanted some collective experience. I have a patient with a suspicious polyp/cyst on their cervix that is being investigated at present. It apparently isn't a " normal " polyp so she is being sent to a specialist for removal/path reports done. This is going to take about four weeks for the appointment. In the meantime she has asked if I could make some pessaries for her to start using. I think its a case of treat for the worse and if its good news then no harm done. Does anyone have a good " recipe " for a pessary. I was also wondering if chelidonium could be used internally as part of the pessary. Any help would be appreciated. Guest guest
this is a case where Herb (Geranium robertianum) may be of use. I've used it together with calendula to good effect for abnormal findings/cellular activity on the cervix. I think other herbalists have also used Herb for similar things. I do not know from where this use of Herb originates, nor of any literature about it (outside of the loud claims on the internet). I seem to have kinda picked it up as I went along. Maybe someone else knows more? In such cases I've given pessaries, and internal medicine. One of my patients also used a douche. In all 3 cases, follow up smear tests came back normal. As for the polyp: chelidonium has an affinity for the liver rather than the reproductive organs, but I think I'd try it as a topical application (douche, pessary) for a suspicious polyp or cyst. But of course because it is an antimitotic, she must not be pregnant, and the treatment must not be prolonged. Best wishes Cristina Hi all, just wanted some collective experience. Guest guest
thank you Cristina for your advice. I will have a look for herb robert - thank you so much for that. Yes, I'm aware of chelidonium for liver specifically but its traditional use was topically for warts growths and cancers, hence thinking about internally (topically) for the same. I have her on an internal mix too and there is no potential of pregancy. I appreciate all your comments. Jean
