Hello All

a quick question, as I do not currrently have access to my normal herbal

libraries.

i have alsays thought that Culpeper's term ' the rising of the mother' refers to

pregnancy, but have just been asked about it and would like to check my sources

- am I right?

best

Sue

Hi Sue

I may be wrong, but I thought it referred to nervous afflictions or

" hysteria "

I know they used to consider that women were prone to various nervous

disorders due to the unfortunate tendency of the womb to wander

randomly from its normal position .......

Graeme Tobyn would know, I'm sure.
