Guest guest
I have a patient with breast cancer, first lumpectomy performed 4 years ago but a lump has now been discovered again. The person does not wish to have further surgery or orthodox treatment. I was wondering if anyone attended the conference in Birmingham this year on breast and prostate cancer and herbal treatment protocol. I attended C. Cabrera's conference in Edinburgh several years ago but I would be interested in hearing about more updated information. NIMH do not have copies of the conference notes so I am hopeful that someone may be happy to share their notes with me if they feel they would be beneficial. Obviously I would be happy to make a donation for the priviledge!
Guest guest
Maureen on (of ish School of Herbal Medicine) once presented an interesting case of a patient she treated for breast cancer who had also decided against orthodox treatment. I think she had written a paper about it, but I'm not sure where it was published. Perhaps she, or someone else who has seen it might be able to let you know where the paper was published? Guest guest
Just to let you know that the notes from the NIMH Birmingham Cancer seminar are on the NIMH website and have been since just after the seminar at this link http://members.nimh.org.uk/?page_id=3811 or you can navigate via NIMH/Professional development/Cancer seminar 28th May 2012 where you will find all the presentations in PDF format, this will be a continuing feature of future events and we hope to have the audio files up shortly. Guest guest
Hi Thank you for your replies. I contacted NIMH office this week but was told the notes were not available?! Although I did ask specifically if the seminar notes could be purchased. And, as I am not a member of NIMH I cannot access the members site. Unfortunately I do not know any herbalists who are members of NIMH at the moment. I will try to contact Maureen and seek out her paper, so Thank you for that information Aine Marie.
