Guest guest
Hi, Comment from user: " I have been on WP three to four months now and I think that I am dying!! " Welcome to another new member. I haven't been up on collecting these recently, but there are constantly new users joining who are suffering in post WP mess. The conversation of the group doesn't appear to be devoted exclusively to the post WP recovery and detox. However.... there's loads of stuff in the archives so please go to the webpage for the yahoo group (different from the rhythmicliving.org webpage) and see how we lurched around trying to figure out what to do. Every single email has a link to the yahoo group webpage, but you need your yahoo ID and password to get to it. In my case with the WP, I got severe P overdose and it was literally packed into the tissues in my inner thighs where I had been told to rub it in (the chemicals in the cream promoted that). After three weeks of no additional P my body started to let it out and in what I described as surges (as if big chunks broke off). In a later conversation with Dr. Schwarzbein she said had seen that in her practice too. When the surges occurred I had massive P overload symptoms which would have sent me to the hospital had I not know to just use loads of E to counteract it. Sometime the surges would come on very very fast other times it seeped out slowly. I learned massages were not my friend for awhile because a massage broke out too much P at once (one post WP friend got off a massage table and could barely see from what we gathered was P blocking E - see the neurotransmitter literature extract on the website). For me and many others during detox.... estrogen was our friend and some of us used insane amounts, but then we were cheerful and functioning rather than planted face first into a pillow in a dark room feeling depressed on P overload. Hope you find some solace and insight in the archives and please pop up here and speak up. Old timers who went thru detox might pop up and share their stories with the hope that it will trigger some brainstorming insight for another woman seeking full-on vitality. Guest guest
Laurel, This website has been so informative for me as I was thinking of going on the WP but thought the dosages seemed way too high. I am always questioning one thing or another and this protocol seemed very out of the norm. Besides who is this Wiley anyway, she is not a biochemist or MD and has very little credentials. I read ne Somers book,Ageless and liked it except for the chapter by Wiley. Well enough about that. I sure hope you feel better and detoxing from all that P sounds terrible. I guess it is important to take things that help you to detox and maybe a holistic physician could help you. One thing I know for sure is that the ladies on this website are up to date and certainly some of the best resources I have found for all sorts of menopausal woes. I must admit I feel good on bio-identical hormones and have a great OB-GYN who is also a Board Certified Holistic Dr. What a great combination. At the present time I take bi-est 50/50 twice a day and progesterone 20 mg twice a day for 15 days of the month and testosterone 1.75mg twice a day. So far so good but the catch is monitoring yourself on a daily basis and tweaking the hormones if needed. He doesn't like me to tweak too much but sometimes I need to do it to feel better. All you gals are wonderful. Just think we are all in this together and what we learn will help the next generation and they will have it even better.
